Podium

Podium is an innovative software company that enables businesses to communicate with their customers. Companies throughout the world use Podium to capture leads, collect reviews, gather payments, and more. In its early stages, Podium employed less than 12 individuals while residing in a loft space above a bike shop in Provo, Utah. As the Podium team rapidly expanded, the company turned to our expertise in Utah commercial real estate to find an optimal space in which to grow.

Throughout Podium’s growth, we found short-term leases that housed their team for short periods of time. Podium was growing so fast that the team would quickly grow out of whatever space they were in. With short-term leases, Podium could continually find new spaces that increased in size according to the acceleration of the company’s growth.

After working with us to grow through four spaces that were uniquely tailored to its needs, Podium’s team decided they wanted to build a first-generation commercial real estate space in Lehi that would ultimately develop into their long-term headquarters. Podium leaders worked closely with our Lehi commercial real estate team as this new space was being built from the ground up. Our experts advised the company on locations, architects, contractors, interior designers, audio/visual providers, moving companies, and more. Together, our tenant rep brokers delivered a space that successfully met all of Podium’s current and future needs.

As Podium continued to grow, the company added a second building where they currently occupy a few floors. They have sublet the other floors out to other companies, with plans to eventually overtake those floors once until Podium’s team expands enough to occupy the full space. This customized leasing strategy has given the company room to grow over time in its dream space.

The Podium office features a 7,000 square-foot gym with CrossFit equipment, free weights, treadmills, stationary bikes, space for yoga and Pilates classes, and a locker area. At the front desk, you will find a high-end soft serve and Dole Whip station. A regulation-sized pickleball court, multiple Spikeball courts, a bike storage space, and a maintenance shop are also available on the campus. True to the company’s origin, a bike shop occupies the fifth floor, paying homage to Podium’s first home in Provo.
